About ARI
Strategic Goals
Five goals that turn the mission into a measurable programme of work.

1
Restore Services & Build Local Capacity
Rehabilitate health, education and water systems, and equip local institutions to sustain them.
2
Stabilize the Environment
Scale reforestation, water management and land restoration to secure livelihoods and food security.
3
Strengthen Local Governance
Build community-led institutions capable of planning, delivering and managing recovery independently.
4
Prevent Conflict through Integrated Recovery
Link services, environment and governance to address the root causes of conflict, not only its effects.
5
Mobilize Sustainable Financing
Build long-term partnerships and diversified revenue streams that reduce dependence on short-term aid.

From goal to ground
Goals become measurable work
The flagship Integrated Pastoral Forest Project carries four of these five goals at once: restored rangeland, secured water, strengthened local institutions, and negotiated grazing corridors that reduce competition over land.
