What this site stores on your device, and what it does not.
1. The short version
africari.org sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no social-media tracking cookies. Browsing the site anonymously sets nothing at all. A small number of strictly necessary cookies appear only when you do something that needs them — choose a language, put something in your basket, check out, or log in as staff.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so that the site can recognise your browser on the next request. Similar technologies — local storage and session storage — store data in the browser in the same way. Where this policy says “cookie”, it covers those too.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work. Under EU law they do not require consent, because without them a service you asked for cannot be provided. We cannot switch them off.

4. Cookies we do not use
We do not run Google Analytics or any other analytics product, we do not embed advertising or remarketing pixels, and we do not use social-media “like” or share widgets that track you. WooCommerce’s order-attribution tracking, which would record where each visitor came from, is switched off on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and the new category will be off until you consent to it.
5. Other third-party content
- Google Fonts: our typefaces are requested from Google’s font service. This sets no cookie, but Google receives your IP address and browser details in order to send the font files.
- Stripe: the payment form and its fraud-prevention cookies, as described above. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Embedded video: where a page embeds a video from an external platform, that platform may set its own cookies once the embed loads. We load such embeds only after you consent.
6. Your choices
When you first visit, a banner tells you what we set and lets you accept optional cookies or keep essential ones only. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies for this site, which also clears your stored choice and brings the banner back.
You can also control cookies in your browser: block them altogether, delete them, or allow them only for sites you choose. Blocking all cookies will break the language switcher, the basket and checkout. Browser instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
